Learning to See: Drawing from Life

Appropriate for all skill levels, this class takes you step-by-step through rendering a finished charcoal drawing and demystifies realistic three-dimensional drawing from life.

Using plaster casts of ancient sculptures as our subjects, we will study how to see, measure, and replicate proportions, shape relationships, and the effect of light and shadows. Explore the charcoal drawing techniques of the old masters.
