About the Artist

Trevor Taylor

We get to dictate what our purpose is in life and I have chosen art. Drawing & painting allows me to touch an eternal conversation, to participate in a cultural tapestry that reaches back to the first man tracing his hand against a cave wall, and forward into an unknown future. Through it, I have a chance to create something greater than myself.

Often allegorical, Trevor’s work explores the inherent tension of expressing the ineffability of the human condition within the limits of a tangible medium. This innate conflict fosters discovery — inviting a spectrum and depth of interpretation. Captivated with the infinite variety of the human figure, he draws deeply from the methodology of classical realism while indulging in textural brushwork that reveals the hand of the artist and invites the audience to experience the visceral moment of creation.
